This
is the web site of the Friends of the Cheshire Youth Orchestras
Here
you will find information about the: Cheshire Youth
Orchestra
and
Cheshire Youth
Training Orchestra. The Cheshire Youth
Orchestra and the Cheshire Youth Training Orchestra (CYO and CYTO) are jointly
financed by the Councils of Cheshire West and Chester, and Cheshire East, and
are managed by the Cheshire East Music
Service. The Cheshire Youth Orchestra comprises some of the most
talented young musicians from all over Cheshire. The Cheshire Youth Orchestra and the Cheshire Youth
Training Orchestra provide a fun and friendly environment where young musicians
can meet and play in a symphony orchestra setting on a regular basis to develop
their musical skills.
The minimum standard for entry to the CYO is that you are most likely to have passed Grade 5, or due to take it in the near future. For the CYTO, the same applies, but at Grade 3.
In certain circumstances, assistance with instrument hire can be provided.
We have two fantastic conductors, the best tutors and we are now established as the premier youth orchestra in the region. Many of our members go on to Music College, conservatoires or university and make successful careers in music; others just enjoy the challenge of being part of a unique and exciting group of young musicians. A membership fee is payable, and for 2011 - 2012 this is £78 per member. | Peter Donohoe and Cheshire Youth Orchestra Liverpool Philharmonic Hall 24th June 2012 Click here for booking and further details or go to the Liverpool Philharmonic Box Office ![]() |
